Yahweh was a warrior God, a companion. They made statues of him. Then the Hebrews got fucked by Babylonians, Assyrians, Persians and Medes. Even Egypt. When they were defeated first, it was expected that they'd discard their inferior warrior God and get a different one.
Things went differently: the Levites, the priestly order, convinced the people that Yahweh was angry with them (sin) and punished them (divine justice). Since Yahweh was just and good, what made sin? The Levites looked to the dualistic faiths around them and said: this is Shaitan. And if you keep sinning, you go to hell. If you follow Yahweh's commands and do EXACTLY what he says (thus, what we Levites say he says), you will go to heaven.
These concepts: sin, divine justice, afterlife and dualism, are quintessentially Oriental and Platonist. It is these concepts, combined with Paul's version of Rabbi Jesus' heresy (Christianity) that makes Christianity an inferior copy of Buddhism. Filled with slavish morals and resentment towards the world and towards the superior.
