Stars are spherical because of gravity. Were they to be cubical, they would invariably become spheres because of gravity would weigh in hardest on the edges and turn the sphere into a sphere, hence, a sphere is a gravitionally stable shape.
Having said ths, why do flat earthers present earth as a disk? A disk is round, i.e. the 2D form of a sphere. Why don't they present flat earth as a square? Or some shapeless formation full of edges and irregular angles?
Because deep down they understand the concept above and unconsciously project it into the disk-shaped flat earth.
