they may as well just roll out IDs on all boards. removing the IP counter may have been done to warm people up to this idea.

It's not impossible, but I have my doubts. i think it would be easier for him to just shut everything down. maybe it's just to run more law enforcement bots if the dead internet theory is real, idk
