On these last few years

It has been almost three years since our board has been closed. At the beginning of that fateful event, /qa/ users, having been expelled from their home under false and malicious pretenses, scattered throughout 4channel and beyond. For a brief period, we attempted to create a new home for ourselves within various boards. For a short time, it seemed that /qa/ would be able to make this board its own; not simply as a shelter from the disaster that had befallen us but as a permanent home, replacing the native population of the time. This attempt however eventually and in retrospect necessarily failed; the rules of this board are simply put incompatible with the full extent of /qa/ culture. Additionally there is the problem of the native inhabitants who seem to be incapable of understanding – much less joining in – /qa/ culture and tradition. With regard to the former problem there are built-in systems suppressing the true expression of /qa/ people such the the thread ID system which serves to limit the forms of expression deliverable within our community. In regard to the later issue one has but to look at the very naming of the board itself: "/bant/ - International/Random." This explicit naming reveals the intent of the site managers that created the board and its current purpose: inclusivity at the cost of a higher developed board culture. It not only accepts but welcomes unintelligent races and peoples to contribute to its board. This is at complete odds with /qa/ board culture which was typified by tongue in cheek mannerisms as the prime modality of cultural expression and communication. It was not only expected but in fact necessary to already have a basic working understanding of the basic structures on formulae of /qa/ board culture before truly joining it.
Despite the failure of an outright sup plantation of the native posters, artifacts of a larger /qa/ culture can be found in the modern /bant/ board.
