The social sciences have done incredible harm to society

>The huge replication project of the 2010's found that half of psychology research findings failed replication trials. This was the worst of any academic field, and far worse than any of the hard sciences, in which a 10% failure rate would be considered high.
>Countless famous psychology researchers have been exposed for fabricating their results.
>The whole concept of 'gender' as something distinct from sex did not exist until the 1950s. Sexologist John Money created phony research when a boy (David Reimer) who's genitals were mutilated was successfully raised as a girl, proving that 'gender' is a social construct. In fact, it turned out that the project was a complete failure - the mother said that there was 'nothing feminine' about the boy, other kids called him 'cavewoman', and when learning that he was biologically male as an adult, he denounced Money and his findings, and eventually killed himself.
>There's also basically a huge demoralization campaign in the social sciences to spread nihilism. The dominant viewpoint on human nature is 'egoism' - that humans are all fundamentally selfish, and only behave altruistically for selfish motives. There is *zero* hard evidence to support this, researchers like Daniel Batson challenge this, but are largely ignored. Likewise, academics in the social scientists routinely ignore the concept of love, romantic or otherwise, framing relationships as purely sexual transactions. Additionally, in the 50's/60's, researchers started to compare human relationships and organizations the strict and brutal animal hierarchies, leading to terms like 'alpha male' and 'beta male' used seriously among younger americans today. This is again, not supported by actual hard science, as human brains have infinitely more complex systems for social organization.
>Even more mundane things like ego fatigue, body language effecting hormones, etc., have been shown to be false. So even at it's best, most psychology is useless and gives shit advice.
