Very glad to hear about that. From what can be seen i too would think of Peru because of the mountain like on those 1/4 reales, and what seems to be a phrygian cap (illuminated rays surrounding it like on early mexican pesos?). On top of the mountain i'm not so sure, maybe a cloud?
Pic is the coin with the correct tilt.

Just went down a rabbit hole. Here's how I think the counterstamp should be oriented. Phrygian cap with emanating rays at top center, with 2 cornucopias below facing left and right. The strike is poor but below that perhaps a shield with maybe a stylized triangular mountain in the center? Then fronds coming up on either side from the bottom of the shield. Look up the historical coats of arms of El Salvador and adjacent countries or the former Central American Republic, those are the closest matches from my perspective.

Paper silver has been steadily climbing by about 6points/day (6% of the total silver supply is printed daily) while gold has only recently began to take off. Gold was around 1-2%/day until a couple months ago when it began rising around 5%/day. Paper silver has never been above 400 to my knowledge. It's the highest now that it's ever been. This isn't something they just reverse. It's automated financial procedures to keep the price constantly surpressed and controlled.

You cannot lose money, by buying jewelry instead you get the same silver value as buying coins but you get extra money because someone gave labor to turn the raw silver into a design, by buying at scrap you get this labor for free and you can sell it for more.
If you buy coins you will lose money to the premium.
I am also stacking nickels because they are worth 8 cents, same with copper pennies at 3 cents. These coins will always be worth atleast face value which I paid, but over time the material value will appreciate. This Is effectively an infinite money glitch.

Jewelry can be fiddly but yeah, stacking any PMs at scrap price (50% of spot or less) is superior to paying retail for bullion. I have kilos of nice silver jewelry I got cheap tucked away (picrel bag one of several) and have also sold numerous things for many times their melt value, if you have the right mind and eye for it and know how to source it efficiently then it's a good way to diversify one's stack. If you're not already good at it though you'll probably be better off just stacking cheap generic bullion, it doesn't require much brainpower to do that.

look at what showed up in my mailbox today frens. It's both much tinier in diameter and chunkier than i expected. Only 14mm wide for 6gr, that's pretty unusual from my limited experience.
Had to go through several catalogues before finding a similar one from Lampsakos, both the Corinthian helmeted Athena and forehead Pegasus are very common figures on their coin, but very rarely on the same coin. Athena being often alongside a double headed Janus and Pegasus with Demeter.

I used to be him. Autistic psychopath with OCD, delusions of grandeur (still have 'em), a need for constant approval, and no detectable personality of my own. I get it. 4chan is well supplied with that type. I suspect he self-medicates because his particularly noxious behavior runs in predictable cycles. Either that or he menstruates. That could explain it but female psychopaths are rare.

Over time he'll hopefully get comfortable inside his own head, he does pretty good most of the time. If he doesn't wind up in prison or a mental hospital he'll probably do fine. I may have one or two laying around from my junk scrapping too, but it's not as funny as your minuscule snort jar, which leave no doubt about the use (unless it's for saffron?).

It's been a pity to watch most ppl my age swap weed for cocaine. It happened so fast. Not only because the cost/pleasure ratio is complete crap, but also because it's like 70€/gr over here and nobody can realistically sustain their addiction without going completely broke. Even if they are forced to tone it down a bit now most have young kids and all the expenses coming with it.
Personally i never was fond of it, i'm too much of a pennypincher to enjoy this crap. Plus my nose get runny for days afterward. No bueno!

Ya know I actually collect coins from Lampsakos and I don't recall seeing one like that, nice score! At 14mm the fact that it weighs 6g makes it a glorious 'lil nugget. It is also a PERFECT candidate for cleaning, it would be pretty easy and I'm sure come out noticeably improved. I have a few more bronzes floating around but here are most of mine from the city, I'm proudest of the rare Archaic era drachm and the likely more rare classical hemidrachm/triobol below it. Diobols are their most common silvers and obols easy to find too. I'm gonna poke around for more info on your bronze but I bet you're right about it being a rare one.

Alright copperchads, we got some thicc juicy Russian chunkers in the mail today! Upper left 5 kopecks is the widest one, measuring a bit over 44mm in diameter! The norm is ~42mm. In the bottom middle is the heaviest one at 57.2g which is very heavy for these coins, and it is tied with the bottom right as the least girthy coins in the lot at a mere 41mm. Holding silver dollars or 1oz rounds never hits quite the same way after fondling specimens like these, big genuine coins which actually circulated are so much fun.

I really don't know anything about the day-to-day Russian economy at any time in history so your guesses are as good as mine, but they minted hundreds of millions of these for 40+ years and most are obviously circulated so they got used a lot. The idea occurred to me that like how ancient Sparta used iron rods as money instead of silver to discourage avarice and other ignoble Jewish traits, maybe comically large "small" change for the plebs was chosen by the Russian leadership to help prevent Ashkenazim filth from wandering out of the shtetl with enough money to cause problems elsewhere? OK, whatever so I managed to cook up real nice high quality colloidal silver. The problem was indeed the water. With the new water my TDS gives me sensible readings and as you can see I got se nice 21ppm colloidal silver with a pale yellow color. I'll do some further testing and if it looks good I'll start selling it.

Making higher concentrations is not hard even at home. You just have to leave the reaction for longer. Question is if it's actually better or when higher ppm stops being better and becomes worse (larger particles) which I'm not sure about and I guest that point also depends on the exact process. I think commercial colloidal silver doesn't use electrolysis but is made from dissolved and neutralized silver nitrate or somethihg like that. I am coin, banknote and scrip collector myself. But I don't call it stacking. Numismatics have value as historical objects. Bullion coins/bars have value because of precious metal in it.

But that doesn't include colorful dragon "collectors" coins that have neither historic nor stacking value (the premium is too high to justify buying it for stacking). These pieces are made by mints to scam inexperienced people. And that include both inexperienced stackers and inexperienced coin collectors. That's why I call them funko pops.

Agreed on all points. People should pursue whatever makes them happy so whether it's literal plastic bobbleheads or contrived "collectible" coins I wish them well, but my working definition of true numismatics is restricted to pieces struck specifically for circulation, with some leeway for circulating commemoratives or stuff like Maundy money. Modern "Limited Edition" baubles that happen to have a face value, but which often aren't even recognized as legal tender (such as those infamous $20 Canadian silver coins from around 2010) simply aren't the same as honest old money.

How discounted would a Geriatric Joe have to be before you would buy it? I bought 12 back in 2020, probably while drunk, and have no confidence I will be able to sell it for spot. The only one I've sold was made into picrel so that was nice at least

Since I was 5 and learned about how different metals are distinct fundamental building blocks of the universe each with their own unique properties, silver has always resonated with my soul and been my favorite metal of all. Maybe if I was born tainted with Jew blood I'd covet gold instead, but silver is my true love.
