The only thing i find a bit sad beside the 2Mo limit is the newfrens who want to get started probably wont find their way in to /bant/. This really left a bad taste in my mouth,they let me sell to them with no mention,buy from them with no mention then once the purchase cleared my account effectively hold my gold hostage. I called them and explained and they said there's nothig they could do. Keep in mind they spend no money at all with the supposed sell so what is the justification of the $240 charge regardless?

Anyway, as i told you, your best course of action now probably is to do this :
Call them and pretend you are a mod/top contributor on r/wallstreetsilver and that you will nuke their reputation if you share your story and make it a sticky thread. 100% guaranteed they will draw back their bullshit. $240 is nothing to large bullion dealers, but getting on the blacklist of a subplebbit with half a million stackers or whatever their number is would cost them much more than that.

Make it sounds like you are worth more than their kike fees. And if they don't answer favorably, screenshot everything and actually do a bread on plebbit and spam their X comment section. JM have a customer account there, it's certain.

They have to have penalties to ward off the arbitrage opportunities that are the result of being able to "lock in" a price. I may have ID-switched, but anyway if you look at the caption in your pic it says those are the "Type V" countermark from 1868, I couldn't find as many type VI coins but they don't have flags and look cruder, quite similar to your coin. Maybe it's an altogether different type tho so the autists at Sedwick should still be consulted.

I also got other equipment such as a watchmaker's/jeweler's magnifying glass, calipers, and that pocket pinger. I want to do a specific gravity test soon. I learned that purer/unalloyed coins will have a tighter ping sound. 22K gold coins produce a long resonance when struck; lower finesse coins will also sound distinctly different from the ring a .9999 coin will make. I think its good to educate yourself and verify these things.

Man, I really don't know the cob market well but that one looks quite genuine so if the other side is in pleasing condition and it isn't a rare mint or year then I'd expect it to sell for around $350 in the USA, so if I got it for $200 or less I'd be happy, and if I was specifically trying to add it to the collection then maybe I'd bid ~250. Post silver's price chart at that time and add the timelines of these events : (1) time you called for cancellation (2) time when they effectively charged you.
So we can see the $240 discrepancy. If true this is legit jewish mafia tier. I thought $240 was a lot to happen in just few hours for only a 7k order, but it would make more sense if it happened in the span of several days.

It was gold for that order. I called and cancelled the order within. Few hours,the person on the phone told me everything was good to go. I did not check back as I rarely sell or buy from JM. Fast forward a year later and you can see they didn't cancel it for a week and charged me the difference in price at that point, not within the few hours when I called. I called instead of emailing as I wanted them to cancel it ASAP instead of waiting a day or 2 to read the email.

I have done extensive research for non-destructive at-home testing before jumping into precious metals. I think it's very important to have some knowledge in this regard and I'm surprised it's rarely talked about here.

That being said, I've never done the specific gravity test simply because I never had the need to and I'm also too lazy to try. Checking coins is also much easier than ingots, especially when blistered, and I 99% of what I have is in form of coins.

Anyway, measuring weight and dimensions of a coin (or an ingot) is the starting point. Once it passed those tests, whose values are easily found online, you should always do another test. The ping test is my favorite: it's quick and easy, and there are smartphone apps to help you with that ("Pingcoin" and "Precious coin tester"). I wouldn't just trust my experience with the sound, as it differs from coin to coin (see how short is the golden maple leaf sound compared to other 24K coins like the buffalo). Also you don't need that tool, as you can simply use your fingers to hold the coin or balancing on a tip like pic related and use a pencil or something to ping it; however I reckon it's very handy.

Also check the paramagnetic tests for silver and gold, where you can use a decent magnet with a precision scale or a plate filled with water. You need to buy a neodymium magnet, but it's easier to set up than a specific gravity test and it doesn't require math.

Sure but with this logic you doom yourself at only selling your stuff to those same reputed dealers too. Not sure having these vampires punctioning trades on both ends of the deals is a healthy approach if we want PMs to be sound money again. The whole point being to own a medium for which you don't need any extra intermediaries nor rely on trusting governments for trading goods and services eventually.

Yeah there's merit to this approach, it's the easiest and requires no expertise, but it's kinda like the difference between normies who only get food from grocery stores and schizos who also like to garden, hunt and forage for superior foods (cheapies). The former will look at the latter and say it's impractical and a waste of time since there's limitless cheap goyslop on the shelves, but they're rooted in a relatively shallow materialist perspective and can't understand or acknowledge the intangible value and satisfaction gained from having a more personal and direct role in putting food on the table. The importance of self sufficiency and expertise in times of crisis or exigency is also overlooked. Your quick practical approach is fine for stacking as a simple hedge, but it's an enjoyable educational hobby for other anons so they're operating under a different framework. In spite of the overlap you and they are playing by different rules toward slightly different goals, so your insistence on applying your rules on anons playing a different game is why there's so much friction.

Asahi bars, which I have the most of (I'm sick, chills included so I don't feel like getting to my stack now) fit. But they're loose. Last time i bet on one of those bad boys i thought i was alone on the case, then at the last minute a bunch of fiery but mostly peaceful bidders showed up out of nowhere. It went for twice my max bid eventually.

But there were some toned old Engelhards, Prospectors, and others.

The only thing you better avoid is their dairy product (only targeted at foreigners since chinks can't digest milk). I did the mistake of ordering a 4 cheese pizza one day, not only it was stupidly expensive (even by EU standards, i paid like 150 yuans -20 bux- for it), but i had to throw it in the garbage can after half a bite. This was like eating molten plastic bags.
But anything local was fantastic, and i'm very selective when it comes to food. It's simple : i never enjoyed food from any other country than France (obv), Italy, Portugal and China. Eastern yurop and arab countries being the worst in average. Plus Bongistan of course, they are by far the worst, nothing is edible on their satanic island.

Looks like the uppermost dime might be silver, might have a .350 war nickel, and ya got an old shield nickel in there too. The large cent appears to be in surprisingly nice condition for a random lot like that, $6 is a steal for all that fren.

Not a lot in low grade but way better than a comparable worn V nickel. That one is the first "with rays" design and if it's an 1867 then even being worn it's worth more than the total cost of the lot. Some of those buffalo nickels might be good ones too, there are several valuable key dates to watch for.
