It's ridiculous that any 17-year-old would be given a quarter million dollar loan when they have no track record of proving that they can ever pay back that kind of money. A bank won't even lend $5k to a dude with bad credit. It's ludicrous that they lend $250k to a person who has literally no credit at all.
Better system would be if we had some kind of indentured servitude or apprentice process.

Probably why they don't do it.
