>>3774293>>3776935News reporters should be objective in their reporting of the news. To act otherwise is to invite sensationalism, which is the realm of the Yellow Press.
As to my personal opinion, you don't see [s4s] moving on from berry pink, or /r9k/ moving on from wojak, or /qa/ moving on from Tenshi (no matter how frogposters try to stamp out the latter two), and you still see ancient 40K memes parroted on /tg/ which has a dedicated site to record its high quality threads. Whenever a board gives up its founding identity, its usually a sign something terribly wrong has happened, like when SakuraFish was banned from /a/, or when /b/ grew too toxic to support desuposting. Can you really say those boards improved for the better when they tried to do a 180 and be new for the sake of newness?
I will stand by the /bant/ as it was seen through the eyes of Manx, Schwarmo, the 4CC Team, and tsumugi poster, because I felt that was the /bant/ Yuyukow stood for, and the /bant/ that I came to love. You can try and replace it, but I'm going to re-replace it! That's why I became a reporter! And I have a feeling that's where we're going to be disagreeing.
