>>6306940>There's an Army Recruitment Center and a Navy recruitment center in Iowa >I'm leaning towards Army but I'm going to see what the navy gots to offer, you know.Definitely. Being a swabbie is pretty great not going to lie. I've got plenty of family who were squids and they all swear it was the best time of their life. Plus you don't have to worry about them springing deployment on you like the Army. Just don't get duped by the signing bonus from the Army because they will pretty much say anything to get you to sign on.
Checkout this to get a little feel for what they're like from a comedic perspective. It's pretty true.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqxrJHkzS0I>I took a practice ASVAB and got a 79%.Nice. If you're expecting to get a perfect score just throw that idea out right now. There's plenty of questions that pertain to tools and identifying them as well as engineering questions. You can't get a perfect score unless you want to dedicate everything to just getting a perfect score.
>Well I guess it's something new and out of the norm for me.Don't be so nervous man. You're joining the Army/Navy for a non-combat role and there's a super low chance you'll be deployed. So long as you stay out of infantry and other similar roles (and avoid the marines all together) you won't get deployed and have to fight or die.
You'll be fine. Just go in and put your best foot forward.
I believe in you SHIT POST. Oh and you'll still be able to come here after 6 weeks of basic. Hell if you get deployed you might have enough DT to actually continue shitposting. If you get deployed and are still here send pics to keep us informed. I'll talk to some people and get you some extra MIDRATS to keep you awake on guard duty.
