He was responsible for most of the demon related incidents that occurred throughout the series, and has been collecting every known demon sword in order to use them to gain control over the huge demon known as Valbanill which is sealed inside Blair Volcano. She also holds a personal grudge against him because of an incident where he attacked her without provocation.
