>>4108771>I doubt they consider Fate as anything more than another battle shounen, and that's where they get all their beats from.I don't think that's an entirely fair characterization. I think most of those people would insist they like FSN for being a character study and would criticize the anime adaptations (sometimes justly, sometimes not) for being too focused on the fight scenes at the expense of the meat of the story. Frankly, they are just biased against Rin or in favour of the other characters (sometimes both) and cannot leave aside said biases to look objectively at the work. That said, I do think a fair criticism of SOME of them is that their conceptualization of a character study is indeed somewhat warped by a shounen lens where they seem incapable of grasping character dynamics unless they are being shouted in your face.
>Unless it's some alt universe version, they might just not be allowed.Case Files and FSF both occur in timelines where the events of FSN did happen, though they do not follow any of the three routes. It seems both are going for their own unique amalgams of Fate and UBW. Either way, Takeuchi hypes up Rin as this character who can do her thing and stuff while Nasu does not include her among characters whose stories he considers basically done with, like Shirou and Saber. I find it dumb and even insulting that he considers Rin being used in spin-offs where she's but part of an ensemble cast where she can't get properly fleshed out a worthwhile use of the character.
>That's not funny at all and I apologize if I have caused any stress. It's no big deal lol. I was the one who brought that stuff into the discussion anyway. I'm but lamenting my own lack of willpower lmao.
>>4108713Nope, I'm using my own router. I'm not sure what's happening precisely but I do see 4chan counting me as a new IP almost each time I post despite my still seeing and receiving (You)s on my old posts. Not particularly tech savvy so I can't hope to understand.
