Regardless of your intent, when you describe someone as a "ditz," you are describing them as an airhead, a dummy with no common sense, etc. and I wouldn't hesitate to slap you if I heard you in person describe my love as such. Why is this so hard for you to understand? Your intent doesn't change the meaning of the word.
