It's not just body type; it's like there's a certain subtlety to the 'Rei look' that only comes through in the shape of the eyes/nose/face, but most art seems to gloss over that and focus on copying the more obvious traits like hair, outfit etc.
>>2559002I'm kind of torn on JJ's direction style … it feels like it's trying to be the extreme opposite of the prequels - where they were flat and emotionless, now every moment has to be as DRAMATIC and VISCERAL as possible. I wish there'd been some time to just take in the atmosphere for a bit, especially when there's such a grand scale to the visuals (the beginning with Rey exploring the immense deserted ruins almost had a Nausicaä vibe). Still, if the naming coincidence means we now have a reason to see Rei dressed in robes it's hard to be disappointed with how things turned out.
