As for the contents, anything and everything inevitably gets used as shipping ammunition by someone, and as far as the contents go, I can't say I really care for them. Even if they're just redone pages, in-between pages or side-stories, or even a new ending, I don't think they can do much in terms of changing what has been done. It'll just feel a little bit tacked on for me.
That is to say, I don't think the NGE manga is in need of a new ending, even if it sucked. Technically episode 25 and 26 also doesn't need to be expanded on, but in a more real sense there was a lot that was missing, as it only focused on Shinji.
The Sadamoto manga does not do that, but tells a very real story involving the main characters from start to end..
