First of all Mai is stronger than her classmates and 95% of ability users in pretty much every area (sides maybe strategy), and she is usually the one with a short temper and an uncompromising somewhat overbearing nature, so I have no idea how that would work. She is too brave and headstrong for that scenario to be plausible. If she came across someone like that it would definitely turn into a fight, and she is not going to back down even if the other person is stronger.
Also just because they are multiple people won't stop me and her from beating them up. Besides, bullies don't get second chances.
