As such, Asuka (and to some degre Misato) can despite their roles be construed to be strongly anti-feminist. Asuka for obvious reasons, as she is a truly useless woman unless being controlled and continuously given false validation she was trained to receive.
But Misato? How is she anti-feminist? Well, she is a woman who can only communicate through spreading her legs, and feels constant guilt about the one guy in the show she bedded. Such exessive sexual guilt is inherently anti-feminist. Despite Misato's role as an officer, it was shown that she too was used, although like Rei, Misato knew better and started investigating.
