After landing and finding out where they were, he decided to drive the Stuka back to base on a road rather than fly, because they had landed right next to a road. Almost got to base too, but 10km from base, after 40km of "driving", a railroad overpass stopped them. Rudel got a car-ride to base while Hentschel stayed to watch the plane. Once the fog cleared, Rudel returned to fly the plane back to base.
Another funny story was fishing with 50kg bombs, which reminded me of a story from Juutilainen's book about shooting moose with their planes.
