>>2158537>haven't seen itThat would be correct.
>Rei-related claimsCorrect, once again. If she is not Rei-related, then arguing that she is not Rei makes about as much sense as claiming that Yuki Nagato isn't Rei. It should be obvious to anyone, if it is that well-established. Perhaps looks, shared origins, and such complicate matters, but that's partially why I suggested adding it to the guidelines. If it's put into the guidelines, Janitors can clean the thread of Rei Q, those of us that wish to see Rei Q can either go to the Rei Q thread (Or start their own, if there is none) and it encourages those that want to see Rei Q from making their own thread by making the distinction plain for all to see.
Rei Q fans claim that Rei Q is Rei, or at least Rei-related. That's their logic for posting in these threads. We can debate it all day long, but it's an exercise in triviality, where each side will still be convinced of their own argument, as thread after thread has shown. Personally, I see it as a bit redundant to split the larger subject into two threads, but if the tradeoff is that we manage to keep the peace on a generally slow-moving board by doing so, I can't see how it's really that bad a thing.
>New Character, take my word for it.I'll withhold judgement on that matter until I get to see Rebuild. My primary concern is how a normally laid-back board like /c/ gets riled up into the equivalent of Waifu Wars over the simple posting of a character that seems so contentious for such trivial reasons, especially when the fix seems so simple as saying "No Rei Q in this thread." Feel free to add it to the guidelines, or not. I'm just trying to point to a solution where everyone can walk away with a cool head on their shoulders.
