That scene in the anime is pretty unambiguous and it's a straight no from Revy. Checking out my French translation again, it seems to be more ambiguous than I previously thought about whether or not she ever worked for Rowan in the past, I can't clearly tell either way, but her refusal is still pretty clear. I think it's one of those cases where the Japanese language is a clusterfuck and translators have a hard time making the difference between past and present, conditional and affirmative. It's also possible that Hiroe intentionally made it ambiguous. I'd ask the man himself if I had a Twitter account and spoke any Japanese.
But hey, I still love her either way.
