It’s hard to describe, but follow me: her accomplishments have all been undone, she hasn’t really discussed or developed from anything that’s happened to her, and she hasn’t been seen in action in a context that didn’t involve making a bad guy look good in ages. It sucks, and I don’t like it, but it also means they’ve left her with no real avenue for progression -except- to improve. We won’t know for sure until they actually move things along, but I don't really see what they can even do with her now that wouldn't be an improvement. I can dream, right? And as long as I’m dreaming, I would also like world peace, some ice cream, and a pony. Or a pony made of ice cream that will create world peace.
Yeah, what I've seen of RA3 does strike me as kinda tacky. But as far as the waifu factor is concerned, I don't really mind, because George Takei and Tim Curry are already better waifu material than any woman they could have found.
