I watched it in my 13 which was like 8 years ago and it compleely detached me from reality. Such shock impresiion and such feelings and emotions to Rei, it completely overwhelmed my brain. I kept rewatching it numberless times, was an active poster in EVA threads, kept rewatching it to grasp facts and omplications to build the theory on WTF DID IWATCH and so on.
Even tried to make AMVs of it (I was a kid please don't throw stones) which made me revatch it even more.
And after that i told myself that I will try and not touch it anymore so I maybe will forget it good enough to enjoy it.
The fun part is that i have no idea where I was in my 13-16 literally black hole in my memory but EVA is burned into my memory better than my own birthday date.
I guess thorough coplete rewatches would make about 15 not to count when I rewatched episodes and scenes alone.
I'm still having the goosebumps on by back when i smell the same soap as when I went to wash my face and hands after watching EOE for the first time.
