It might be better to say you'd want her to lose the somewhat unemotional detached "everything will always be okay" state that she sort of had when she was 100% concept/law. More vulnerable and human, less all-knowing god-like optimism. Homura pulling Madoka out of that immaterial, one-with-the-universe, all-seeing position, lets Madoka act more like Madoka again.
Saying things like "broken, lose all hope" is too broad and too harsh. It just sounds like you want her to be broken into pieces and die a slow lonely death.
