Imagine if we got a shot of him when it was fighting shinji and he was just fully consumed by it with his eyes staring into nothing.The other bit I found fascinating was that when Bardiel had fully consumed unit-03 he was able to seemingly generate more muscle & matter from it as well as assimilating the armour plating into it. When it gets close enough to unit 01 to choke it, it goes Mr Fantastic mode and super stretches it's arms out to choke Shinji and the armour is stretched along with it, meaning it had incorporated it into it's living tissue somehow.
Also ya Eva body horror sounds so cool and freaky I'd love to see it. We got a taste of it in the Rebuilds since we got to see what Asuka became after prolonged exposure to it in unit 03, and it's probably something they could further elaborate on if they ever do a Eva 2.5 to cover the time between 2.0 & 3.0.
>what'd id also like to see is what would have happened had it infected Unit-01/Shinji. Everyone gave Shinji shit for not acting, but now they have to be put in that same position, especially Gendo as without Unit-01 everything he planned for goes to shit.Oooh I hadnt even thought of that. hell what if it had infected unit 00 or unit 02 fully and now Shinji had to face the consequences of not only possibly maiming/killing Toji but also Rei or Asuka. Or similarly had it infected unit 01 alone and the other units were left dealing with the now zombified Eva and we get some sorta Godzilla situation of mixed arms between conventional UN weapons & Eva shenanigans.
