Junketsu originally is intended to dominate and "wear" it's users but instead ended up being subjugated continously by Satsuki for a long time which seemed to made him unfit for the "absolute domination" upgrade.
As far as we know Junketsu didn't had any changes since Satsuki took and weared him until Nui modified him for Ryuuko and then was further modificated with Senketsu's bits and Ryuuko/Satsuki's blood.
Say what you want about TRIGGER's job but at least they made an awesome character and they had the decency to give her a good closure.
