>>4135664It would've been significantly better if the original 3.0 which took place during the time Shinji was trapped within 01 instead of what we got where it had to introduce WILLE, NERV with an absolutely massive power spike out of nowhere and having to skip over a majority of the character development. Asuka is angry at Shinji because that's how her character was in the original series, but we don't get any of the exploration of her past and psyche until literally the ending scene of 3.0+1.0. Most of the characters outside of Shinji felt like cardboard cutouts of their original version because they didn't have the time to explore them properly.
