I have trouble getting over that hump. There's also the matter that Koikatsu exists for the sole purpose of having sex scenes with your creations, but that's a personal issue for me.

Another beginner tip I learned was to not fuss about lumps in the mix, many recipes say not to overmix because you'll end up with a tough, spongy texture like white bread. Most of all though, never be afraid to ask for help. Having a second opinion will always improve your work. You don't need to tell them it's for your waifu, you don't need an excuse to bake a cake.
