Base Kale bested SS Cabba during their recruitment arc without him even noticing what was going on (this led to him insisting the she should join them in the ToP).
She also bested Golden Frieza, in her base form and without him knowing what hit him, literally.
It's in the manga that we see a Kale who wasn't weak nor insecure, but pretended to be weak to not outshine her Ane-san, whom she loves and respects very much.
I love this aspect of her.
