I don't know if it's normal to like the anime more than the visual novel, but being able to actually see what Sakura's past was like in Zero - Heaven's Feel made me connect with her far more. Definitely helps that it's animated and voice acted but without being censored like the Realta Nua version. I didn't think much about Sakura when I played the game, but now like a decade later I'm obsessed with her due to the anime, and I even have dreams where she's my wife. Or maybe it's just the fact that I re-experienced the story at a different point in my life? I don't know. It's a weird feeling.
