eg. Mr. Doctor for (PhDs), Ma´am Dozent.That title is a orginally a German term and it is like an assocate profesor, but not tied to posstion, just a general academic title higher than PhD. The form of adress by itself is just the way we politely address older women, without being noticeably respectful, the way I feel ma´am is., but that is hard to translate ino English.
