>>4079827I've always wondered what Nasu does and does not consider a tsundere. Rin's denial of her own feelings toward Shirou is a central aspect of their relationship, but on the other hand their moment to moment interactions are not reflective of the archetypical tsundere dynamic, where the girl spouts "I-it's not like I l-l-l-l-like you, baka!!" every two seconds. Rather their interactions focus more on Rin teasing Shirou, and his slowly learning to relax and tease her back. I think central to their chemistry is that Shirou feels guilty when he has fun and the reason he feels so uncomfortable around Rin, aside from the obvious teenage hormones, is that he finds her personality really fun. It's great to see Shirou slowly let go of the past and let himself be swept by the experience, truly enjoy himself and love his life. In that sense Shirou behaves more like the archetypical tsundere on a moment to moment basis than Rin does.
