>>2414718It's the cold, hard truth. The music/fights are just aesthetic values born from limitless budgets, and those are factored out.
What remains is the plot, the story, and the characters - which are all designed to insult Rei as a character, as well as put it in a bad light.
The plot and story, as well as the characters all have the quality that they aren't developed, they aren't created or arrived at, just presented. Rei Q is presented-as is, the setting is presented as-is, and all of it contributes to what I mentioned in the first paragraph.
The possibility of Rei coming back? Wanting Rei Q to die? These are all horrible things that 3.0 created in the first place, with no 3.0 there wouldn't be a "possibility" of Rei coming back either.
More to the point, so what if Rei Q dies or Rei comes back? It won't do the character any good, it's just a intentionally broken and shallow misrepresentation of the original anyway.
So yes, if you enjoyed 3.33 as a movie, it's probably best to turn in your Rei fan card. You don't deserve it or nor do you have any reason to carry it.
You can't say you like Rei, and then say you also like insults directed towards Rei. I think it's seriously time for you to consider another fandom to communicate with.
