>>3740816>so I read GLT about a week ago and loved it>I thought their ending worked very well in GLT.I love both SSR and SS and think that the ending of SSR couldn't have been better.
>Read Shimeji Simulation yesterday and while I enjoy it, it feels very aimless.Other anons have expressed similar feelings and I personally half-agree. There has been setup with the whole world being strange (possibly a simulation), loli fixer god girl, Shimeji's childhood flashback girl, hole-digging just to name a few examples, yet there hasn't been any payoff. All of these could have interesting developments, and if tkmiz takes at least most of them somewhere by the end of SS I will be very happy, but if tkmiz just keeps starting points and leaving them behind that would diminish my enjoyment of SS considerably. I'm pretty patient and don't mind a slower pace, so I can wait for slower developments, I wouldn't call it aimless yet, perhaps tkmiz just wants to set up many things that will end up coming together eventually, which would be very cool.
Even without much plot I can enjoy SS just for its surrealness, art, characters. I also think that SS deserves praise for the way Shijima's and Majime's relationship has been going, we went from Shimeji wanting to ignore Majime, then becoming reluctant friends and now pretty good friends in only 18 chapters, many other authors drag out relationship progress painfully slow and tkmiz avoided that thankfully.
>I'm also not sure how I feel about Chi and Yuu being in itIf it turns out to be a plot point I'll like it (perhaps SS being a simulation run by the ai from SSR), if they're just cameos/reused designs, that would feel kind of lame to me (though I can understand wanting to give them a nice regular life where they don't have to worry about starving)
Either way I'm glad you loved SSR, hopefully SS will have enjoyable developments.
