but there, rather jarringly i might add, the op plays, and there's no joy there. there's no humor there. it's very bleak you know. the sun is a nasty naked bulb in a prison cell. manacles, tatters, chains, and oh my god the fighting! breakin my heart right now i gotta stop thinking about it. there's real issues at the core of the show though, like actual crippling mental issues at hand, whether or not the character is acting "correctly" in accordance with the DSM is less relevant, because now these issues (or the existence of these issues) is right here in front of us demanding to be examined. i for one am really troubled by the torment and dissociation and self-immolation i see in this character, and i find myself wishing i could reach out touch that pain, to hold some of it and make the burden a little easier to bear
