That doesn't even matter regarding instrumentality though because if you have a soul and are a descendant of Lilith, you will undergo Instrumentality, so even Rei II qualifies for that.
But there is no point to continue this discussion if you can't even accept EoTV as canon, which very clearly, over the course of several minutes, shows that Rei undergoes instrumentality.
