>>3821808>It's hard for me to feel empathy and shit.Empathy is not a trait everyone possesses to the same degree.
>Should I seek help? What if I have something scary and I get my guns taken away.I don't mean to discourage you (or anyone reading this) from seeing someone if you believe it could help you, but it's important to remember "mental health professionals" are, at the end of the day, still people like you and me.
A while ago now, I saw a bunch of different ones from 2 different centers. All of them would be talking about "autism" to try and explain "my problem". I even got one to admit that it's a vague umbrella term they're using to put a tag on people.
In the end only one psychologist saw through me and noticed what my "issue" was, depiste that I had decided I would not tell them about it.
I guess where I'm going with this is that, while it's good to acknowledge that you're not content with how things are, it can also be damaging to think of yourself as "broken".
If you don't have hobbies maybe get some and join communities and make friends. You have nothing to lose by trying. I'm sure you can find people who can appreciate you for who you are. Good luck.
