On top of a branch
A calm girl sits and gazes
At the lake below
The water is still
It reflects a clear image
It reflects beauty
The girl sees herself
She sees beauty and sadness
She can't hide from this
The girl is lonely
She has nothing but herself
And her own music
Pluck, Pluck those harp strings
No one can play it like her
She is a master
No one will hear it
Those soothing notes she has played
Will fall on deaf ears
For she has no one
She is completely alone
On top of the branch
