Maybe it was the time when they turned a puppet of a 14 year old escapist into a literal, space warrior princess with actual super physical strength?
Was it when they gave her tons of new EVA's, and solo angel kills which she didn't have in NGE?
Was it when they made her mature into someone who could see their own flaws, or when they rewrote her into a good person that'd even sacririce her own goals for Rei, someone she hates?
I really don't see how they fucked over Asuka.
The only way they "fucked over Asuka" was the same way everyone else got fucked, by making them into pure plot devices. So that's par for the course, yet still Asuka pulls out ahead.
