The quality is all over the place because a lot of it is Western, at least nowadays.

For my Sheik, artists tend to draw her mouth cover pretty strangely. Sometimes it's connected to her outfit, sometimes it's a separate accessory. Sometimes it's bunched up and sometimes it's perfectly fitted. Sometimes you can see an outline of her mouth and nose and sometimes you can't.
