I couldn't watch Evangelion with the characters talking like that. Imagine the scene in EoE where GNR is holding EVA Unit 01. Could you take that seriously? When Rei/Kaworu is talking to the crucified Shinji? Though the quality also could be up for debate. Also the scene where Unit 02 get's impaled in the eye also could be more impactful. Imagine the loudness of that already loud scream.
