>>3418115Honestly, the way I see it(which might be fatigue talking again), Lena isn't -that- far from Blackwatch material just going by Canon. She wants to do good, and does so, and if the needs must, then 'little things' like laws or sovereignty become things that 'other people' care about(Post-Petras and Uprising respectively). I agree that her...herness would need some tweaking though, so that she could stomach the darker side of the work. Her love for her friends might become a problem if she couldn't cool Gabe down and instead convinced herself his increasingly dark acts were the right path in the end however, road to hell is paved with good intentions and all...
Speaking of speaking her mind with her superiors though, what do you think would happen with Moira? Assuming Gabe didn't listen to Lena saying that she's obviously bad news, she can't just tell Jack, since BW 'doesn't exist'. I...sorta want to say that Moira might have a not quite so accidental accident(There’s no way Lena would have let Moira do her thing if she knew. BW Lena is less squeaky clean, but she’s not EVIL.)….which might fix a lot of the fall depending on WHEN actually...
The Slipstream as a covert dropship/spyship would probably fit Blackwatch I think? Hard to catch the infiltrators if their jet just blinks out of existence. Essentially a Hind, but modern, stealthed, and with time powers.
(Stupid, semi-related thought. Lena is essentially a good Gabriel. I blame the lack of sleep for this mistake.)
