Nah, I've been quite bad at learning by ear, as a matter of fact. I did some very rudimentary training with it when I played the piano because it was so frustrating to feel handicapped and unable to make out even the simplest tunes by ear sometime. My plan is to be more serious about it with the guitar, esepcially since tabs aren't nearly as reliable as original sheet music. First I'm trying to get a nice foundation so I know various techniques that are used, so I at least know what to listen to (maybe I'm just procrastinating with excuses, though - time will tell!)
