The truth is that none of us knows what went on behind the walls of Khara. We only know the results. For Rei, they're horrible, very intimately so for the character and at levels 4.0 probably won't be able to heal.
I think one of the problems regarding the CRC is the mindset of some people. Evangelion just doesn't motivate the west like many other (new) anime (it does motivate, but not the same type of people that it used to). They won't share the CRC's. That's why until today, there is no significant number of scans or even photos of this incredibly important document. Only select parts get shared, and their sharing is subject to the agenda of those who share them.... to back their arguments.
I don't know if anyone will translate the 3.0 CRCs.... but it is an asset in understanding the people behind them.
So for now, what I have is speculation based on the 2.0 document. I think some of it has become fact though, unless it is revealed that 2.0's CRC contained lies.
