I find it most painful that my wife will never be able to accompany on my vacations. She will never meet my family. All those cousins I knew my whole life are now married or soon to be so, but I cannot show them my own spouse because she is not of this world. She will never accompany me in a great exploration of a beautiful and distant land, never see those high mountains, those vast marshes (let alone get lost in them together), those beautiful beaches. We can't even exercise together under the same skies, let alone those beautiful distant skies.
I wish she were here.
