Phos is striving to do the right thing and help everyone. She isn't perfect, she has doubts and all that she's been through means her sanity lapses like in your pic, but ultimately she just wants to help and not see anyone else hurt. Even your pic is intended in kindness, just a misguided one caused by her lapse of sanity, after all she's been through she has moments where she see's death as preferable. Her kindness is one of the key parts of her character. It is the reason she suffers so much, because she cares.
