>>3529687>What age difference is there between you and your wife?My Sheik's age is a complicated matter. You see, she was created from a triforce and not born from a mother. She was also not created as a baby either. She was created to inhabit Zelda's body, a 9 or so year old girl at the time. She also inherits those memories and is given at the base of a Sheikah personality at creation. So how old should I consider her when she is first created? If I'm going to be technical, I could say she is 0. But if I am talking from a more nuanced and realistic approach, I could say she was 9 since she inherits the memories and body of a 9 year old girl. Then 7 years passed, so she would either be 7 or 16. I think 16 years old is much more representative of who she is. I'm in my 20s, so there isn't a great age disparity if she is 16.
You could also apply this kind of logic to Zelda too. When she was 9 years old, she was sealed away for 7 years while someone else took control of her body. When she is given back control of her body and becomes conscious again, she gains Sheik's memories. In this case, would you still consider Zelda a 9 year old girl? Maybe or maybe not. It depends on how you see things. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer here, and it is the same way with my Sheik. Both sides have their merits, but I think of her more as a 16 year old.
>>3529692My Sheik is technically royal blood. She uses Zelda's body as a vessel and Zelda is the princess of the Royal Family of Hyrule. My Sheik is also the last of her kind, the Sheikah, a tribal people (if you don't count Impa who became a sage). Finally, she is also the creation of a god of her world, Nayru. Nayru created the triforce of wisdom and imbued it with her powers. That triforce was used to create my Sheik. So my Sheik is actually quite the special creation.
