>>3323125I forget where, but Mikey gave an interview a while back where he basically confirms the Genjster's "nether regions" are intact. Yes, it was just him, but as far as I'm concerned, the rest of team is complicit for letting him.
>>3323395I personally liked it, but I can also easily see where you're coming from. In a way, it's a bit like false advertising; nobody likes Hana because she's -morose-. The problem is that Blizzard sold the story on a message of hope and determination, but they also want the cast to be tragic and compelling. I can understand that, because tragedy is the necessary foil for hope, but they've made the mistake of conflating "tragedy" with "misery". I'm fine with hardship and sadness as long as they're purposeful and respect the spirit of the character, but we don't necessarily have that. Hana just behaves one way in-game and another in canon, and a lot of my beef with how Tracer has been handled so far is that I don't think she's sad -enough- for all they've put her through. Not that I want her to be miserable, but I think her biography offers a lot of potential for development in seeing how she's struggled and coped with everything; instead, they've ignored that potential, invalidated her accomplishments, and kept her silent. For a character whose identity is built on persevering in order to make a difference, it feels like a disservice. Same with Pharah and Ana: why even establish they're estranged from each other if you're not even going to touch upon the subject for over two years? There has to be a payoff to make it all worthwhile, otherwise, you're just watching good, likable people suffer for no reason.
Boy, I'm depressed now. On top of all this, Tumblr is killing itself and Super Best Friends Play officially ended yesterday. I feel like an extra in a disaster movie watching helplessly as the city burns down around him. Please hold me, /c/.
