I'm gonna be honest - if you take the reboot out of context with the series, it's honestly pretty nice. I've really enjoyed most of it. Though 3.33 was booooooooring. Not enough Asuka, Mari or Rei! Too much Shinji, lol!
And I really didn't like how they handled future Misato, but I do understand it. If I think about how I would have ended up after being mind fucked like Misato was, the company she spent her life supporting betraying her, finding out they'd basically been abusing the children that she cared for as if they were her own . . . I can definitely understand how she ended up being so cold.
