But to be more on point, the genetics doesn't make Rei Q Rei, and technically, they're the genetics of Yui Ayanami in Rebuild.
Rei Q is as much Rei as Yui Ayanami is Rei.
A real life example would be that if someone cloned you, the clone would not be you even if you had the same DNA match.
The "telepathic communication" which may just as well be a loudspeaker or anything else, doesn't establish anything that makes Rei 2.22 and Rei Q as being the same.
The genetics doesn't make a person/character the same. Just like in NGE where the clones in the tank are not Rei, so is Rei Q or Yui Ikari not Rei.
The Rei clone in 3.33 has no connection to Rei in 2.22, regardless if she looks at (not picks up) the SDAT player, or can communicate telepathically.
