At first she didn't care for the humans she was protecting as well as the ones she couldn't protect, and had vaguely nihilistic outlooks, but not exactly a pessimistic "life is meaningless" kind of thing, and more of a hybrid of nihilist and realist "some humans will get eaten, that's just how things are, nothing I can do about it, so there's no reason for me to care". She has grown to care for humans over the course of the series though. In D&D terms, Lawful Neutral would fit it the best, shifting towards Lawful Good at the end of the series.
